Q. Does the Act! Cloud online work with MS Word?
A. Yes. Beginning with ACT! 2010 Corporate Edition, MS Word may be used as your default word processor for letter, email and quote templates using either the windows or web application.

Q. What is an ACT! Cloud web-based (online) user?
A. ACT! web-based or online users access the central database located on the central server from any computer via Internet Explorer using a unique user name and password. No software is loaded on the users PC.

Q. What is an ACT! Cloud windows (off-line) user?
A. ACT! Cloud Windows or off-line users access a remote copy of the central ACT! db installed on their PC. Changes to the remote and central db are updated via “remote database synchronization”. ACT! software is loaded on the users PC.

Q. What is a dual-access user? Both online and off-line user.
A. ACT! Dual Access users have the flexibility of accessing the central db directly via the Web from any PC using Internet Explorer (IE) off-line using their remote db and synchronizing changes when they reconnect to the internet to the central ACT! db located on the server.

Q. What are some advantages of Dual Access for hosted users?
A. Dual Access allows the user to access their ACT! db both off-line and online.

A. Yes, we are happy to host your existing ACT! database. Just provide us with a back-up copy of your existing ACT! db and we will have your ACT! users connecting to your central ACT! db from anywhere in the world.
